We have already been introduced to two important classes of nonabelian groups: namely, the matrix groups \(GL(n,\R)\) and \(SL(n,\R)\) for \(n\geq 2\text{.}\) We now consider a more general class of (mostly) nonabelian groups: permutation groups.
